My name is Keith L Dickerson, I have been working and developing transmission Builders since 1981. My Company rebuilt over 200 transmissions every year and many of them I rebuild myself. Anthong Fowler is Partnering with me, brining over 50 years of Transmission expertise to this Vision. We have a 20,000.00 Square foot Facility and a 4,000.00 Square foot Tech Facility on the East Coast, I have always run an honest (Christian based) transmission business, and my business motto is - “A Transmission Company you can Trust.”
From its incipiency, Transmission Warehouse sold transmissions at wholesale pricing, trained hundreds of young potential techs on transmission parts and Rebuilds, but only sold you a transmission “only if you need one.” we talk to customers regularly who have transmission problems, and we provide quality information about transmissions, whether we sell a transmission or not. In 2007 I envisioned that there would come a time when you would not be able to find transmission rebuilders, let alone a highly skilled one. So, I began training young potential techs on how to rebuild transmissions in Suitland Md.
The early automatic transmissions were very easy to rebuild, all you needed was a good book or video, but in 1990 the manufacturers began adding electrical components into transmission, with two and three speed stock types. Today, transmission have almost all electrical components, with up to 10 speeds stock types. There are only a handful of experienced, well-trained transmission rebuilders that know how to work on transmission from, top to core. I discontinued training how to potential techs on rebuilding transmissions and opened a transmission warehouse in 2015. At that time, all rebuilds were performed by me and it has been a very successful pivot for five years. In 2020, I began taking tours of various transmission remanufacturing companies throughout the United States, I have developed some ideas and made some contacts on the west coast. As a result, I plan to open the only transmission remanufacturing company on the east coast. One of the Manufacturers that I visited, was Certified Transmission. They specialize in providing high-quality new remanufactured transmissions that are better than a brand-new transmission and they are located in Omaha Nebraska, with over 800 hundred employees on site. Each transmission that they sell is packaged with 3 years 100,000-mile warranty with nationwide parts and labor. Each transmission is dyno Machine tested before they are sold.
In 2021 I re-started an on job training program at night, to run the only transmission remanufacturing company on the east coast. I realized that I could no longer train potential techs on how to rebuild these new transmissions, because rebuilding transmissions today is much more difficult to learn due to the electronics and higher level of parts and symmetry for effective re-building. It takes extreme focus, some medium to high level skill and extreme concentration to be really sharp at rebuilding today. In September 2024, I stop training and went back to rebuilding transmissions myself.
January 2026, I will partner up with Certified Transmission Reman Company, to stock and sell their remanufactured transmissions as the most highly visible Transmission company on the east coast, and I plan to accomplish this at wholesale pricing. If you call Certified Transmission for the same transmission you will have to pay the shop price, shipping and the trans core change.
